UPDATE: I would like to thank everyone that has so far donated food, I would like to share a message from one of the single parent families in the West Rand: "Extremely grateful for it all. You made me as a mom feel just a little bit less of a failure this week. Bless you for your kindness." Just remember these are not faceless people - each one has a story, heart, hopes and dreams, just at the moment times are tough for them. THANK YOU FOR BEING AMAZING DONORS - DON'T STOP - WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Just remember these are not faceless people - each one has a story, heart, hopes and dreams, just at the moment times are tough for them. THANK YOU FOR BEING AMAZING DONORS - DON'T STOP - WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Hi - even though I have kinda given up hope, I have decided to make a plea anyway. There are families living with no food in the West Rand. They try their best to get jobs - I have tried to help them - it isn't happening, the other day a lady was killed at an intersection whilst trying to beg for money for food, she left behind her 5 year old daughter who was not hurt. I have helped her before, and I just keep wondering if perhaps I had some food parcels to give her that week she might not have been at that intersection and still alive today. Please consider that these families have school going children who do not eat. I am begging for any type of donations - even if its a voucher from a store or tinned goods, packet soups or two minute noodles. I don't know what else to say, it breaks my heart when a family comes to visit us and their children try to eat everything till they no longer can, but still they try because they don't know when they will see food again. Please - if anyone can help please contact me 071-355-5228. Thank you - Ela.
A huge thank you to Vonkmedia and Amor Gerber for a wonderful day! The ladies came back very positive. They had an amazing time.
Our ladies on our Farm Project are on their way to go and attend a self defence course, giving them a break. The men on the farm will cook for the ladies and clean the kitchen and look after the children. Thank you so much to Amor Gerber for giving our woman an opportunity to get out a bit but also learn something new.

Hi everyone we are in need of corrugated iron sheets and 50x50 angle iron 6meter length to close up our new kitchen area. Each sheet costs R232 and we need 30 6meter lengths. Please, please donate in order to help us get this kitchen done for our ladies. Thank you so much for your support.
We had loads of fun with the children today. We played hide and seek and other games too. Sometimes it is great to just sit with them and hear their laughter and innocence. They are the future and they need us more than ever in these times. God help us in South Africa. Please keep our babies safe.

What an amazing group of woman. They are using the machine that was donated to make the dough and wow it is so much easier! They are so thankful that they do not have to knead the dough by hand.
