Our veggies are doing FANTASTIC in the tunnel. We are well on our way to self sufficiency. We have lettuce, bringels, spinach, tomato, green peppers, squash, radish, chillies, cauliflower and cucumber. We need more tunnels in order to grow a bigger variety of vegetables. We would also like to start with a herb tunnel.
Hi everyone we want to ask that you please be patient with us answering your queries and messages because 6 of our people including Leigh and her husband has fallen ill with the Listeria outbreak in South Africa. They are doing ok and are on meds. They are resting to regain their strength. Thank you for your support and all the love you have shown.
Hi everyone, we have had many emails and messages from people asking why we do not leave South Africa due to the exposure from several international journalists who are exposing our plight. It is not an easy question to answer and I have compiled a few reasons after speaking to some of our folks. It is very difficult getting families out and here are the reasons why. 1. Funds - The folks in the camps live in horrid conditions and they can barely afford a loaf of bread. The will never have the funds to apply for a visa let alone plane tickets. 2. Visas - Getting a visa as a South African to the United States one has to be able to a. Show that you are gainfully employed with a good salary for a period of time. b. Prove that you have strong business and family ties to South Africa. c. Prove that you have enough savings for your flight tickets and extra savings. d. Prove that you will return to South Africa and that you have no ulterior motives going to the USA. e. Prove where you would stay, the reservations you have made and deposits you have paid and also have an itinerary to show where you will be while in the USA f. Should you be applying for a work visa you have to have an employment offer from a company in the USA who has registered to employ foreigners. g. Apply for a passport that you wait for ever for. h. Give in proof of residents - That is not possible because these folks do not get utility or gas bills. h. Many folks have parents, siblings and children and the fear of leaving everyone still in danger is devastating to them. Can you imagine having to leave your children or grand babies behind? Our families are fighting to survive on a daily basis, many stay in shacks without electricity and many hardly have something to eat at night. There is no way possible that they would be granted any visa to any country in the world. Most visa applications like that are denied and you lose your application fee that is non refundable. It is a hopeless case because NOT ONE country in the world is willing to acknowledge that there is a slow Genocide taking place against the minority on the tip end of Africa. The United Nations are fully aware of the situation here and they have also refuses to acknowledge the Genocide and play it down like our government as NORMAL crime. We are sitting ducks and we have no escape to anywhere unless you have money and or property. Kind Regards
