Hi all we have a lady in her fifties who is in a very bad way. She lives in a house with her children who has not paid the rent and who have also no electricity. What makes this case so URGENT is that she has Emphazima and she is on oxygen 24 hours a day. They have had to illegally put on the power so that she can get her oxygen. They have all been evicted they have to be out by Friday. She does not want to stay with her children because they do not take care of her. She needs to be removed out of this situation NOW!! She is in need of a wheelchair and a new oxygen bottle. She does earn a pension. She urgently needs a place to stay where she has 24 hour medical care. These are the living conditions of the Winkelspuit camp. These people will not be able to move rent is very high in the area some folk work and if they are moved too far they would loose the little bit of income they do have for now. It is a desperate situation. I can only pray that the community can come together and help us find a solution as to were they can go.
These are some of the little children living in the Winkelspuit camp. Mrs. Heath is so fearful of being evicted with her family. They have no where to go she is struggling to get food for her babies and the looming threat of being homeless is a crisis staring them in the face. I need help to help them. I can only imagine what this mom must feel like. My heart is broken for these people.

Hi everyone we are in desperate need of a plumbing company who can help us with digging a french drain. This is very Urgent Please people we need help here!! An elderly couple has found accommodation but can not move in until the drain is dug. If we can get a team together with people with knowledge on how to dig one we are willing to all go out and dig together. Please please help us!
We have been informed that the Winkelspruit camp has been sold, The residents of this camp have been given a verbal notice to vacate the premises within 60 days. These folk have no where to go. We are in consultation with a lawyer to see what their rights are but we need help as they would have to vacate the camp. There are 29 families and there are 25 children. We found a new camp near Durban these people need food. A farmer took them in they stay on the land for free but it is far from town and they can not find work. This is a note to everyone on our page. I would like to thank each and everyone of you for all your messages and comments over the past few days. We respect each and everyone's view and feedback. It is vitally important that we know what your feeling and views are. You are the ones out there helping. You are the Angels. It does NOT matter who you choose to assist it is the fact that you do that is of importance. The work we do is not an easy one and many a time we are faced with a decision to help or not and is it very very difficult to walk away in some cases. Each and every case is investigated to see weather the person or family truly needs our help. Firstly we look if any children and elderly are involved, if so we do NOT turn them away. We speak for those who can not do for themselves. In the case of the bush couple it might be that they chose to be there and that they have not made the effort to better their own lives and circumstances but we still chose to assist them these past months. Their medical situation deteriorated fast and we felt the need to intervene. Some might say that they do not deserve the right to be helped and we respect your opinion but Anthony kept on working with them taking them food and sat by them and actually listened to their problems and needs and their story of how they got there. But for the grace of GOD go you and I. They will be taken to a private farm were they will be treated and given the last days of their lives not in poverty but in a good clean comfortable home. No person deserves to suffer specially if one is terminally ill. I sincerely thank you all for standing with us in working towards a better South Africa. Thank you. Leigh Oxley Du Preez. 🙂

Gave this young man living in a room with family some food for Christmas, Patrick is very grateful and even offered to do some work in exchange. There are babies and elderly in the environment who are in desperate need, so I told him to refer to me. So far only Sharon, he and another young man Alan who is supporting two elderly himself, his wife and a child have come to ask for food.
